About this directory

What this directory is

South & Central U.S. Loan Storefront Guide is a directory of 600 loan agency businesses across the Southern and Central United States, covering payday lenders, installment loan shops, and title loan storefronts. It exists for people who want to compare locations before they walk in or apply online: where a store sits, what it offers, its hours, and what recent customers have said about dealing with it.

The directory is published by PaydayLoansNearMe.com, a site built to help borrowers compare payday, installment, and title loan locations across this region. The publisher is not a lender and does not arrange loans or make credit decisions. Its role is narrower and more useful than that: showing where each storefront operates, what it offers, and what customers report about their experience there. You can reach the publisher directly at editor@paydayloansnearme.com or 1-866-217-0511, and read more at paydayloansnearme.com.

Where the listing data comes from

Every profile is built from public business records and store websites, then paired with a synthesis of recent Google reviews for that location. We do not copy or republish review text. Instead, we summarize what reviewers consistently mention, positive or negative, and we link out to the actual Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself. Information is refreshed on a monthly cycle so addresses, hours, and sentiment summaries stay current.

How rankings are earned

Rankings come from a published rubric applied consistently to the data collected for each business. That means factors like review sentiment, consistency of service reports, and public business details, scored the same way for every listing. You can read the full breakdown on the methodology page. No business can pay to move up this ranking, and no business can pay to have a bad pattern in its reviews hidden.

Sponsorship, clearly separated

Some pages may include sponsored placements. These are always labeled “Sponsored,” displayed in a separate section from the earned ranking, and never blended into the ranked list itself. Paying for a sponsored slot has no effect on a business’s score, sentiment summary, or position in the rubric-based ranking.

Corrections versus scores

A listed business can contact us to correct factual details on its own profile: a wrong address, outdated hours, a changed phone number, or a service that’s no longer offered. What a business cannot do is edit its own score, sentiment summary, or ranking position. Those are derived from the data and rubric, not from the business’s preference.

The enquiry and referral side, plainly stated

This directory also generates enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched with a loan storefront, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request and may receive a referral fee for doing so. That arrangement is disclosed on the quote page whenever it applies, and it never touches scores or earned rankings. Comparison and enquiry-matching are two separate functions running side by side on this site, and we keep them that way on purpose.

Editorial oversight of the rankings sits with Petra Nathan, Editorial Director, who maintains the rubric and reviews how it’s applied across listings.

FAQ

Does this site make loans or lending decisions?
No. Neither this directory nor its publisher, PaydayLoansNearMe.com, is a lender. We compare storefronts and pass enquiries to relevant providers; we don't approve or fund loans.
Can a business pay to improve its ranking?
No. Rankings follow a published rubric applied to public data and review sentiment. Sponsored placements are labeled separately and don't change earned rankings.
How often is listing information updated?
Listings are refreshed on a monthly cycle, covering details like hours, addresses, and review sentiment summaries.
What can a business correct on its own listing?
Factual details only, such as address, phone number, hours, or services offered. Scores, sentiment summaries, and rankings are not editable by the business.
What happens when I ask to be matched with a provider?
We pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request and may receive a referral fee, as disclosed on the quote page. This never affects any business's earned ranking.
